Bus ride
On my bus ride up I saw a lot of trees, mountains, and pretty scenery. My friend Natalie had to go to the bathroom, so the whole ride up I had to hear her complain about how bad she had to go. (It was REALLY annoying!!!!) My other friends Allie and Katherine were sitting right next to us. (Luckily they weren’t as annoying as Natalie was because based on that bus ride up I thought it was going to be a very long week.) Katherine had a deck of cards and we were all trying to do magic tricks (but not succeeding) so it didn’t work out so I practiced my card shuffling instead. Then finally we were there. So that was my bus ride up to Out Door Ed.
Sick day!
The next day didn’t start off to good because at break fast I got a bloody nose, but then it stopped. Yet while Mrs. Jordan and I were hiking to get to our class my nose started gushing (in front of the whole group) so then Mrs. Jordan gave me another tissue. (How nice of her!) Then we headed back to the cabins so Miss Dierberger and I had to call my Mom because we thought I had a senses infection. At first I was devastated, but then I was kind of glad because then I could go home and be with my Mom and Dad…and eat my Mom’s GOOD food that she makes. (She’s a GREAT cook so is my Dad.) So then Mrs. Jordan started packing, and after packing I took a nap. When my Mom was almost there Mrs. Dierberger came up to get me and we ate gram crackers and chocolate. It was REALLY good! On the way back my Mom asked me what I did for the short time I was there I told her and then we got a delicious meal…Five Guys! Then I took a nap and after I had to go to the doctor and took a strep test… it was positive. And that was ONE of my sick days.
Meal Time!
During mealtime I didn’t eat much because the food was grotesque! Natalie said and I quote “its like prison!” We all cracked up laughing. Gladly I only had to eat two meals there. I was VERY happy when I came home and ate my Mom’s fabulous food she’s a great cook!
Break fast was worse because I got a bloody nose and all I had to eat was hash browns because the eggs were disgusting! So I was miserable the whole breakfast time, but the nurse and Mrs. Jordan were very helpful! That’s what I did at meal time.
Dorm time!
In my dorm time I played cards with Katherine then we got the shower schedule, I unpacked, and tried to take a nap. I also got into different clothes for dinner and after was very excited to go to the Longhouse. We had a lot of laughs at dorm time because Katherine jump off the top bunk on to the queen size bed and hit her head on the ceiling. We all started cracking up then she did it again but from a lower step…. but didn’t hit her head again! That’s what I did during dorm time!
Another sick day!
On Wednesday I woke up about eight o’clock my Mom mad me some of her delicious home made pancakes. Then I had a pretty relaxing day because all I did was basically watch re-runs on T.V. and drink sprit and water, I think I blew my nose one hundred times that day! I also got a bloody nose right before dinner, and I got blood ALL over my shirt my Mom had to wash it three times to get it out. After dinner I went back to the couch and watched T.V. with my Mom and Dad. So that was my “another sick day.”
Adventure II
Sadly adventure two was the only activate I was there for, but it was really fun. There was SO many activates and I enjoyed them all. Some of them where the swing of the ropes, every ones foot on the little tire, getting on the wobbly abject with out it touching the ground more than three times and SO many more. The Y.M.C.A staff member after an activate told us to drink five big gulps of water. And that was my experience of Adventure II.
